CALLED MEETING: February 27, 2016, 11:00 a.m. 2nd Degree for Brother Eric Lawrence.  Lunch at 11:30 a.m. Degree starts at noon.

Many thanks to Boyd Franklin, Matt Reidy, and all the brothers for raising money for our Masonic scholarship program through the Golf Tournament in recent years.  Though this year’s tournament is not for a while, I would like everyone to put time aside for it on Saturday, August 6th, 2016, in hopes of the continuance of this good cause and a day of brotherly comradery.

For those of you who survived my first attempt at cooking, I'm inviting you to try my second.  In recognition of Washington’s Birthday and our traditional Ladies’ Night, we will be having pot roast and cherry pie.  Ladies eat free. All will be treated to a special reading on Washington during dinner.  I look forward to seeing you all there.

THE SECRETARY’S SAD AND BEAUTIFUL WORLD: 

Thank you for all that got the dues in timely.  I will send out second notices in two weeks, so if you are unorganized like me, and forgot to send in your dues, you can send in a check for $91.00 to Fernley Lodge #34, P.O. Box 297, Fernley NV, 89408. Don’t feel bad as I forgot my Shrine dues last year.  If you need help please let me know.  As the lectures state you need to let a brother know if you need help.  We don’t just assume.

I was recently informed that the Trestleboards that go out by mail have been coming late.  I did not know that Fernley mail is sent to Sacramento to be sorted and sent back to Fernley to be delivered.  My goal was to get the Trestleboard to you by Monday of the week of the meeting.  I will be adjusting the process to achieve that goal.
